Reading the Field

Reading the Field

Don’t listen to anyone who speaks about energy work in absolutes.

Whether you’re a reader or just trying to get in better touch with yourself, my number one piece of advice is this: never listen to someone who says their way is the only way.

Energy work is the practice of noticing, influencing, or aligning with the currents that shape our bodies, minds, and experiences. But here’s the thing: what that actually looks or feels like is different for everyone.

A person's energy signature is as unique as their finger print and energy workers have their own ways of interpreting this energy based on their gifts, their own life experiences, and the way that they were taught. What anger or a loop of procrastination looks like in your energy field looks vastly different than mine.

What I’m sharing here isn’t the definition of energy work, it’s how I experience and describe it. Think of it as my personal energy language, a lens I’ve built through my gifts, my life experiences, and years of practice.

So below are the core terms you’ll see in your Energy Field Report and how I interpret them:

To preface, I am clairsentient meaning “clear feeling” or “sensing” Its probably one of the least raved about clairs because you have to be able to distinguish your feelings from the feelings of another person.

I am also clairvoyant but not in a “I see picture perfect scenes in my head” kind of way but in a way where I see colors, shapes and patterns that over time has formed my own psychic vocabulary.

Energy Field:
Your energy field is the energetic space around your body.  It consists of your aura or auric layers that echo what you are experiencing inside, and connect you to what's happening outside.

I’ve noticed that base aura colors often stay “fixed” but there are many fluid colors (which makes sense because energy is fluid and ever-changing)  depending on how you are feeling, what your dominant loops are, or even what kind of day you're having.

Chakras:
I see Chakras as Energy centers within the body. They generate the signals your aura reflects. For example if I feel a pattern that appears to be moving or vibrating quickly around third eye chakra and I see an electric blue color in your aura around your head (the psychic vocabulary I've assigned) it may indicate overthinking or spending too much time in your head.

In Hindu and Buddhist traditions, Chakras are described as arranged in a column along the spine, from its base to the crown of the head. As this is not my culture, it is not my role to teach these traditions.

I use the word “Chakra” in reports simply because it is a familiar way for a lot of people to describe these energy centers.  If you are interested in learning more about Chakras from a traditional standpoint  this is a great resource.

Patterns and Loops:
Without getting super deep, I see patterns and loops as a repetition of energies that your ego initially created as a coping mechanism or way of thinking to keep you alive, safe from harm, and not experience ANY discomfort.

This is because ego basically sees all things that challenge your “safeness” as a life or death situation and your nervous system doesn't know the difference.  Even if all you're doing is giving away some jeans and your ego wants to keep them all because it thinks there's a chance you'll never be able to buy another pair again.

Frequency:
Think of frequency as the culmination of all of your energetic patterns and loops. The more a loop or pattern is repeated the more it becomes a part of your frequency, or the energy you are broadcasting to the world.

Activation:
The spark of awareness that shifts a pattern. An activation is simply a moment of seeing clearly and choosing differently. This is that moment where you recognize a loop or pattern is no longer serving you

Reflection:
A question or prompt that helps you notice your current frequency and choose whether to continue feeding it.

Pattern Dissolver:
A body-based somatic practice that gives your brain and ego real tangible proof of safety (because remember your nervous system doesn't know the difference) so the old loop no longer needs to run for your survival.

For me it is a blend of the 5-4-3-2-1 method, havening and EFT tapping. These are some of the practices I personally use. It’s not part of the reports themselves, but I share it so you have context for the language.

Energy work is vast, but it doesn’t need to feel complicated. The way I speak about it in the reports is meant to be clear, grounded, and usable so you can notice what’s moving in your field and choose how you want to align with it.

If you’d like to go deeper, you can explore the FAQ in the Field Notes, where I share more about the terms and colors you’ll see in your Energy Field Report.
